In this article Zetsche says that the Chrysler UAW members rejection of the health concessions that both GM & Ford received were “part of our considerations” to put Chrysler up for sale.
My question is why did Mr. Zetsche let Chrysler’s inventory build up in the sales bank to protect Chrysler’s profits when he was looking for concessions from the UAW? To me it appears DaimlerChrysler’s board has no idea what they are doing in regards to running Chrysler. No wonder they want to rid themselves of it.
According to this article in AutoWeek Cadillac will be making a decision on the CTS wagon & coupe “Over the next three months or so”.
LaSorda says a decision on the sale of Chrysler will come soon, now the questions is what is his definition of soon?
This market will pay $100 if DaimlerChrysler announces the Chrysler division has been sold on or before June 30, 2007. The date of the sale is inconsequential; DaimlerChrysler just needs to make an announcement that the sale will take place.
